Permit Applications
Along with fire protection codes referenced within the East Whiteland Township Building Code, Electrical Code and Property Maintenance Code, the Board of Supervisors has adopted NFPA 1 - The Fire Prevention Code, 2009 Edition, of the National Fire Protection Association with local amendments as supplemented, reissued, amended, revised and updated by the NFPA. Permit applications can be picked up at the Township Building. Applications also may be requested via phone, fax or email and Applications will be mailed to you promptly. The inspections required in conjunction with issued permits can be scheduled only by contacting the office directly, 610-648-0600. Do not attempt to schedule an inspection through the voice mail system!Fees
Fees charged by the Township for various permits are listed in the East Whiteland Township Fee Schedule. This should be used only as a guide. If you have any questions, please contact the office. Fees must be paid at the time the application is submitted. Permit fee balances must be paid prior to the release of the permit.Permit Processing Time Frame
The average time for permit processing is 3 weeks. Processing time may be longer or shorter depending on workload, project complexity, clarity of the project, completeness of the application and unforeseen backlog of the department.Fire Code
A copy of the Fire Protection Code, NFPA 1, 2009 Edition, of the National Fire Protection Association with local amendments as supplemented, reissued, amended, revised and updated by the NFPA is available by appointment at the Municipal Building. Please note that these Codes cannot be copied in whole or in part due to copyright protection. To order any of these Codes, contact the National Fire Protection Association.Special Information for Residents
Township residents are reminded that due to Southeastern Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Regulations and East Whiteland Township Ordinance that no open burning exists in East Whiteland Township.This includes yard debris, such as twigs, sticks, leaves, branches, etc. Any questions regarding the burning ban should be referred to the Fire Marshal Office.
